Humanoid Demonstration Rules
Audience: Journeyman Level
Overview
Humanoid robots strut their stuff in order to impress the judges.
Course Construction
A painted flat level surface will be provided. No exact coefficent of friction is guaranteed.
Robot Construction
The robot should be generally humanoid in shape and locomotion. That is, two arms and two legs. Due to the difficulty of humanoid style locomation, robots may be Autonomous OR R/C.
Contest Procedure
Each contestant robot will take the floor alone for 3 minutes and give its demonstation.
Scoring
Each judge will award one to ten points for each of the below criteria. All points will be added and combined, and a score will be given to each contestant. Points will be awarded in the following three areas:
Originality - How original was the concept? Was this work clearly well thought out? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Agility - Was the Robo-One's moves as flexible as a gymnast or athlete? How difficult would it be for a human to do similar move.
Variety of Moves - Did the robot go through a series of motions which were ever changing - or were they all similar in movement?
