The rover is driven by 4 12vdc 50:1 175rpm motors, which are powered by a 12v 5000 mAh battery with a Lynxmotion 4WD1 chassis.

I am able get around the 1A per channel limitation of the Make Controller by using a Sabertooth 2x10 motor controller from Dimension Engineering.  The Sabertooth is controlled by two servo ports on the Make Controller, each port controls two motors simultaneously.

Rapid PCB Etching with a Sponge

hack-a-day picked this up from instructables who picked it up from Pulsar. Its a story about etching VERY rapidly, in about 60 seconds, by using a tiny amount of Ferric Chloride and a sponge. I am pretty excited for this technique and will try it very shortly. I found a second error on my LED emitter board so its over-due for a re-etch. Once I've tried it I'll report back here. If you've already tried it, leave a comment and let me know if the technique lives up to it amazing promises.

Meeting Minutes for June 14, 2009

Sorry for the tardiness, it has been busy around here! This month I am trying out a new minutes format, less of the narrative we have had before as I always take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to adapt my notes into a story. Instead, we will have my quick (spellchecked) notes, double-checked after the fact to make sure all the information is given fully and succinctly. A point where I am finding some difficulty is to keep sub-points in line (Indented). Any tips would be appreciated; I realize the format given is difficult to read but it is the best translation Word could offer. I am open to feedback on this format, please comment below!
And without further ado, our minutes!
